Buy to Let on the Costa Blanca

The buy to let market in Spain has seen a huge flurry of activity over the last 12 months, with investors’ confidence suggesting that the outcome of Brexit will have little or no effect on the Spanish holiday industry. The growing popularity of property rental websites such as www.airbnb.com, www.booking.com and www.tripadvisor.com have made it very easy for the buy-to-let investors to advertise their lettings, and likewise anyone looking to book holiday accommodation can do so quickly and safely.

The increase in rental prices and the shortage of available properties is a clear indication of how the market is behaving with many costal 3 and 4 bedroom villas commanding up to €2000 per week in high season.

Apartments on or around the golf resorts have always been very popular with the buy-to-let investors, but the recent construction of good quality & well priced new build apartments and townhouses in golfing areas such as Villamartin and La Marquesa has greatly boosted the market.

Buying Golf Property

Apart from the obvious sun, sea and healthy Mediterranean lifestyle, Golf has long been one of the main activities that draw people to this part of the Costa Blanca. Golfers have long flocked to the likes of Villamartin, Quesada and Torrevieja to enjoy the top class golfing facilities available in this part of Spain.  And, as many of the top local golf resorts are also within 20 minutes from some of the most popular local beaches, there is something for everyone – golfaholic or golfaphobe!  The wide range of new builds and resales around the Costa Blancas top golf courses offers a perfect place in the sun for avid golfers and their families and friends who can join them for 18 holes in the Spanish sunshine, or avail instead of the wonderful amenities nearby instead such as the Blue Flag beaches, shopping centres, historic cities and much more. One of the most exciting prospects of early 2019 is the long awaited opening of Corvera Airport in Murcia which is set to take over from San Javier airport. Corvera is expected to draw in millions of travellers into the area and with them the inevitable property surge. The Corvera Golf course is rumoured to be on the verge of finding the necessary new investors to finally open so we are keeping a close eye on new build projects in the area.

Buying Property on the Costa Blanca

Buying Property in Los Montesinos

The lovely town of Los Montesinos just outside of Torrevieja has been attracting a lot of International buyers looking for a nice mix of traditional Spanish with a touch of cosmopolitan. There are still some surprisingly cheap apartments and townhouses for sale in the town, and the popular nearby urbanisation of La Herrada has some of the finest new build villas in the area. The popular Vista Bella Golf course is less than 10 minutes away and any new property for sale adjacent to the golf resort is in great demand. Los Montesinos is well known for its many fiestas, tapas bars and cultural events, and as it is so close to the busy towns of Torrevieja and San Miguel, it is an ideal location for anyone looking for a town that ticks all of the boxes.
