Not only is La Marquesa a beautiful golf course, it is also well thought out and cleverly designed. One which is said to test your skill to the limit, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. The course was designed and founded in 1989 by D. Justo Quesada and quickly grew in popularity thanks to its proximity to Alicante – in fact, it was once said that 80% of players from the Alicante province had hit their first golf ball at La Marquesa.
As the golf course grew and surrounding area developed, changes also occurred at La Marquesa with important technical and design improvements. A map of each hole can be viewed here and your round of golf can be booked online by clicking here.

Villamartin golf course is probably one of the most well-known courses on the southern Costa Blanca and is ranked number 68 in the top 100 golf courses in Spain. The course itself was constructed and built by Mr. Putmann in the early 70s and opened for business in June 1972.
Villamartin has hosted many prestigious tournaments over the years, including the 1994 Mediterranean Open which was won by Jose Maria Olazabal after a nail-biting play-off with Paul McGinley.
From a player’s point of view, Villamartin Golf Club has an exciting design and many challenges. The course is par 72 and the length is 6132 meters from the white tees, 6037 from yellow, and 5259 from red. Hole 17 is the Par 3 signature hole with a demanding 200m carry off the back tee onto an undulating green. The shot from the tee crosses a tree-lined deep ravine that protects the hole and presents a challenge to most players.
The course is very diverse and unlike many other courses in this part of Spain, none of the holes are equal. The mature trees, abundance of wildlife and occasional glimpse of the med from the course means that Villamartin is a favourite among golfers.
For a preview of the course, you can see a hole-by-hole guide by clicking here.
For the non golfer, Villamartin offers a multitude of things to do. Villamartin square is a hub of commercial activity with shops, restaurants, bars and beauticians.
